Vertical Seismic-Profile Data Local Full-Waveform Inversion Based on Marchenko Redatuming

چکیده
Local full-waveform inversion (FWI) methods use redatumed seismic responses of virtual receivers within the subsurface to build local objective function based on convolution-type representation theorem. The Marchenko method is widely used obtain data. only requires a smoothed velocity model with correct kinematic characteristics for redatuming single-sided reflection However, standard insensitive lateral propagation wavefield. By injecting wavefield along boundary target, modeling produces errors, which affects accuracy FWI. In this paper, more accurate Green’s functions proposed by incorporating vertical profile data (VSP) into calculation process source-receiver redatuming. This allows one laterally propagating waveform, resulting in significant improvement resolution. applied benchmark dataset and compared FWI

Full waveform inversion of crosswell seismic data using automatic differentiation
Full waveform inversion (FWI) is an effective and efficient data-fitting technique that has been widely used to produce accurate estimation of model parameters in Geophysics. The efficiency and accuracy of FWI are determined by the three main components: numerical solution for forward problem, gradient calculation and model update which usually involves the optimization method. The success of t...
متن کاملForest Canopy LAI and Vertical FAVD Profile Inversion from Airborne Full-Waveform LiDAR Data Based on a Radiative Transfer Model
Forest canopy leaf area index (LAI) is a critical variable for the modeling of climates and ecosystems over both regional and global scales. This paper proposes a physically based method to retrieve LAI and foliage area volume density (FAVD) profile directly from full-waveform Light Detection And Ranging (LiDAR) data using a radiative transfer (RT) model. First, a physical interaction model bet...

متن کاملOn Time-harmonic Seismic Data and Blending in Full Waveform Inversion
In this paper, we study the relationship between the acquisition of time-harmonic seismic data and the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map for the Helmholtz equation in dimension n ≥ 3. This relationship is established through the introduction of a single-layer potential operator. We analyze its properties with a view to so-called iterative full waveform inversion based on the Hilbert-Schmidt norm, that i...
متن کاملFull waveform seismic inversion using a distributed system of computers
The aim of seismic waveform inversion is to estimate the elastic properties of the Earth’s subsurface layers from recordings of seismic waveform data. This is usually accomplished by using constrained optimization often based on very simplistic assumptions. Full waveform inversion uses a more accurate wave propagation model but is extremely difficult to use for routine analysis and interpretati...
